Gel’s Story
“Rrrrrrright! The banging of spoon on plates. The scraping of chairs. A sudden silence replacing the cacophony of boyhood chatter in a Clearwater lake dining hall. A respectful silence. An anticipated silence.
“Rrrrrrright!” delivered with crisp, Australian-rolled “r”s. It signaled the end of breakfast, the beginning of a new day and Cobber’s daily breakfast talk.
I will never forget when I first heard it, that August of 1959. It began the end of my old life. It started the beginning of my new life. It led me to join Christ each morning at His table.”
Thank you Cobber. Thank you Ontario Pioneer Camp”
