Pep’s Story

“My first recollection of the boys’ camp dining hall and kitchen was in the early 1950s at a winter camp. We slept in the lodge and ate in the kitchen – the dining hall had NO heat. I came early the following summer and helped nail the siding on the kitchen/dining hall.

My fondest memories of the dining hall were of Cobber’s morning devotions and singing songs together such as ‘God is Our Refuge’ and ‘Faith, Mighty Faith.’ I won’t soon forget the sounds of the voices rising together.”
